True The Vote's 2nd Annual National Summit Overwhelming, Sold-Out Success
True the Vote, a non-profit and nonpartisan group dedicated to free and fair elections, concluded its second annual national summit this weekend with a sold-out two-day series of meetings featuring bipartisan speakers, distinguished experts, and more than 350 participants from over 30 states across America.
Highlights from our featured speakers included:
"Keep it up, you are winning," said John Fund, senior editor and columnist at the American Spectator. "This has been a historic weekend for the election integrity movement and all who believe in fair and free elections."
"Opposition to Voter ID laws are built on a lie," said fmr Congressman Artur Davis (D-AL). "Voting doesn't happen by snapping a finger. Where is this idea that if I have a right I have no responsibilities?"
"We don't take a position on whether President Obama is re-elected," said Tom Fitton, president of Judicial Watch. "We take a position on free and fair elections."
"We are so thankful for all the powerful speakers and, even more importantly, for the attendees and activists from 32 states who came to Houston at their own expense, to learn about free and fair elections simply because they love their country," said True the Vote's founder and president, Catherine Engelbrecht. "We still have so much to do, but there is cause for hope -- and a reason for all Americans of any political persuasion to get involved."
